Guardian Contemporary Art Acquisitions Committee B.C.E. Circle Patron Supporting Friends Associates (Individual) Associates (Joint)

Membership Levels at a Glance 

Guardian: $7,500. Prestigious category of donors who sponsor a week of their choice supporting subsidized entrance for children, students, senior citizens, soldiers and the physically challenged.  Guardians' names are posted at the main entrance to the Museum during their sponsored week and are published in the local press, and in the annual Israel Museum Journal. Guardian members enjoy invitations to select events, lectures and IMJ openings in the United States.

Contemporary Art Acquisitions Committee: $7,500 / $3000, The mission of the Contemporary Art Acquisitions Committee (CAAC)  is to support the growth of the Israel Museum's Contemporary Art Department through the purchase of contemporary works of art.  Members are invited to several exclusive art events in private homes and artist studios throughout the year.  The season culminates each spring in the voting meeting with Rita Kersting, the Israel Museum's Landau Foundation Curator of Contemporary Art.  Since its inception in 1999, the Acquisitions Committee has raised over $3 million, for the purchase of more than 100 cutting edge works of art for the collection.

B. C. E. Circle: $5,000. The B.C.E. Circle is a support group devoted to fostering and assisting the Israel Museum's ancient art and archaeology departments, including the Cultures of the Empires, the Ancient Near East to the Far East, and the Americas. The B.C.E. Circle funded the restoration of a magnificent large wall fresco from the Crusader Period permanently installed at the entrance of the new Crusader Period Gallery in the renovated Bronfman Wing. The project was dedicated to the memory of Renee Beningson who founded the B. C. E. Circle.

Patron: $3,000. Members of this international organization support the daily operations of the Museum. Patrons' names are published in the annual Israel Museum Journal. Patron members enjoy invitations to select events, lectures and IMJ openings in the United States.

Supporting Friends: $1,800. For our friends across the United States who help us sustain the strength of our Museum by supporting their local friends group. Supporting friends will be invited to one or more annual events in their hometowns of Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Miami, San Francisco, or Seattle.

Associates Individual: $500. The Associates is a group of supporters in their 20s and 30s brought together by their interest in art and their commitment to Israel. The mission of the Associates is to build the next generation of supporters for the Israel Museum. The Associates sponsor a varied calendar of events throughout the year in conjunction with artists, collectors, curators and gallerists. Contributions generated by the Associates are allocated for children's activities at the Ruth Youth Wing and for the Associates art acquisitions fund, which allows members to  participate in voting to acquire one or more new works to be given to the Museum.

Associates Joint: $750 The Associates is a group of supporters in their 20s and 30s brought together by their interest in art and their commitment to Israel. The mission of the Associates is to build the next generation of supporters for the Israel Museum. The Associates sponsor a varied calendar of events throughout the year in conjunction with artists, collectors, curators and gallerists.
